The information needed to answer a question usually exists. Locating it depends on whoever remembers where it was put, which is a fragile way to run a business.
We deploy AI-powered enterprise search that indexes across those repositories and answers questions in plain language, with citations back to the source document. The value shows up in unglamorous places: finding the clause in a supplier contract, locating the revision of a drawing that was actually built, or answering an auditor without three people spending a day looking.
We are careful about two things. Permissions are respected, so search never surfaces a document to someone who could not already open it. And the source is always cited, because an AI answer you cannot verify is not usable in a regulated environment.

Does our data leave our environment?
Only if you choose a cloud model, and we will design for on-premise or private deployment where residency or confidentiality requires it. This is decided at design stage and documented.
Will it expose documents to the wrong people?
No. The index is permission-aware, so results are filtered to what each user could already access. Search should not become a privilege-escalation route.
How long before it is useful?
A scoped pilot on one or two repositories typically shows value within a few weeks. We would rather prove it on a bounded set than index everything and hope.
